Kathleen Coyle
My name is Kathleen, and I'm currently in my final year at the University of Strathclyde, working towards a joint honours in English with Journalism and Creative Writing. The one thing I love doing most in the world is storywriting, closely follwed by a huge interest in music (more passively watching live gigs, though I can sing and play piano - and may actively resume this activity once graduation is out of the way!) . I have also been a web content writer for two years, so building a literary website has been a very interesting and exciting challenge for me!
This Summer I spent a month travel writing in Madrid, and used some of that time to research and visit Hemingway's old haunts for a feature in a Spanish guide book. Following his footsteps across Paris for this project has been a fascinating comparison!
I am responsible for the 'Hotel du Caveau' and 'Place Vendome' pages under Places, the characters bios of 'James Joyce', 'Nora Joyce', 'Robert McAlmon' and 'Ford Madox Ford' under People and 'Hemingway' and 'Writer and drink' under Keywords. I also contributed to the Networks section with fellow contributor Kate Miller.
